Leaping Frog Sculpture
Transamerica Redwood Park, established in 1972 at the base of the Transamerica Pyramid, is a half-acre stand of redwood trees with a center fountain filled with brassy sculptures of leaping frogs.
The frogs are a nod to Mark Twain's short story, "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County." It was here that Mark Twain met a man named Tom Sawyer, whose name he used in his next novel.
